AVIANCA HK1803 – IN MEMORIAM November,2009

Video-Trilogy. A collective tribute to the victims of violence generated by narcotrafick in Colombia. In November 27, 1989, 107 people died in an Avianca airplane

(Boeing HK1803) when a bomb exploded inside the aircraft. It was a terrorist attack by the Medellin Cartel. 20 years later, 90 Colombians wrote phrases or created images (responses to the memory of this terrorist attack) and buried them 8 feet underground. This "tomb" will be opened in 2034 and a new generation will have to read them again.

REMEMBERING PABLO series

Remembering Pablo 1. or "Rememberasing Pablo"(October,2008)

Subject Matter/Statement: The futility of trying to erase the memory of Pablo Escobar (1949-Dec.2nd,1993), symbol of drug trafficking and narco-terrorism in Colombia.

Medium: Videos utilizing drawing and diferent materials. Videos are meant to be projected simultaneously in a gallery space.
